The Flathead County Sheriff’s Posse was established in 1946 and serves the community under command structure of the Flathead County Sheriff. We serve the public by providing supplemental auxiliary law enforcement services in a way that both develops and inspires community service. Our members include Auxiliary Officers, Reserve Deputies and non-uniformed volunteers.
We very much look forward to meeting you, if you are interested in serving as a volunteer in law enforcement.
We are not funded by county tax dollars. We fund equipment and training through a mix of donations and self-pay, providing over 10,000 hours of service, unpaid, in 2023.
