Programs

No matter where you are in your life circumstances, level of interest, ability to commit, or knowledge and skills, FCSP has a place for you!  We are constantly looking to bring on more volunteers to fill an array of positions serving the community.  Whether you want to wear a uniform and patrol events or help us fundraise by selling t-shirts, whether you have a full-time career or are in high school, whether you can only give an hour a week or an hour a day, we have a place for every type of volunteer.

If you are interested in giving back to your community, please explore our different programs to find your perfect volunteer fit!

Youth Academy Explorer Post

Made for ages 14-20, this program gives teens the opportunity to explore what a career in law enforcement could be like in training and the field.

Auxiliary Officer Program

This is the main force of the posse and the first stepping stone into providing volunteer law enforcement support to the Sheriff’s Office.  Must be 18 or older.

Mounted Unit Program

Auxiliary officers and reserve deputies who possess equine resources can join the Mounted Unit and perform their duties on horseback.

Reserve Deputy Program

This program trains auxiliary members to become a Reserve Deputy in Flathead County where they serve alongside full-time deputies in fulfilling their law enforcement duties.  Must be 18 or older.

Non-Uniformed Volunteers

These are the people who keep FCSP running smoothly with all the behind-the-scenes tasks of fundraising, event coordination, building maintenance, and more!  No required age qualification.  We are so grateful to our non-uniformed volunteers and all the vital work they do, to make this organization so strong.
