The Flathead Valley is constantly growing, and we are always looking for willing, dedicated individuals like you to join us in keeping our community safe!  Are you ready to volunteer with the Flathead County Sheriff’s Posse and start serving your community?  Fill out this application!

Don’t know where you fit?  That’s okay!  We’ll help find a place for you, but in the meantime, take a look at our different programs: Youth Academy Explorer Post, Auxiliary Officer Program, Reserve Deputy Program, and Non-Uniformed Volunteers.

Service Availability
The Posse serves in both scheduled and un-scheduled emergency call out scenarios. What is your general availability to volunteer?
Training Availability
The Posse has meetings and training every Monday starting at 1800 hours.

    As volunteer members of the Sheriff's Office entrusted with responsibilities in our community, maintaining a high level of integrity is essential. As part of the membership process, we review credit history to ensure that potential members demonstrate financial responsibility. Please upload a PDF copy of your most recent credit report (free reports are available from most major credit reporting agencies). A poor credit history does not automatically disqualify you from membership.
