The Flathead County Sheriff’s Posse is entirely a volunteer organization filled with numerous men and women dedicated to serving their community without compensation. FCSP receives minimal funding from Flathead County and garners the remainder of its funds from fundraising and the generosity of the public. All funds are diligently accounted for and budgeted to maximize their impact. We are responsible for the sourcing and outfitting of each of our volunteers.
In the past decades, the valley has grown substantially in size and the Sheriff’s Posse has been called upon more and more. With this, our need for volunteers has grown along with our need to purchase additional equipment. Now more than ever before, the Posse is relying on community donations to help offset our operating costs.
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Posse holds a current status as a 501(c)(3) organization, which means your donations are tax deductible. There are many ways to donate to our organization, and you can browse our many options to determine how you would like to support us. Should you require a 501(c)(3) receipt for your donation, please email administration@sheriffsposse.org, and one will be provided to you. We greatly appreciate your generosity as it is donations like yours that keep our organization alive – Thank you!
FCSP invests in each of its members to keep them safe and competent in the field. However, we are not able to afford the entire cost of this investment, and much of the financial burden falls onto the member. Please see below the breakdown of these costs and consider offsetting these costs by purchasing gear and training for our members, selecting a donation package, buying our merch and license plates, or giving any amount of your ability and choosing. Every dollar is an investment into our community, and for it, we are grateful to you.
